United have been offered a boost by the shock cancellation of the Copa America tournament in South America.
Club skipper Jason de Vos was scheduled to play a major role in Canada's participation in Columbia and was set to miss the vast majority of United's build-up. Now he is expected to return to Tannadice within the next few days.
