New signing Stephen Carson took part in his first training session as a United player on Tuesday, determined to be in boss Alex Smith's thoughts for Saturday's SPL trip to Perth to face St Johnstone.
The winger was immediately thrust into match action in a closed-doors affair against Livingston.
