Although the first team squad were given a day off on Thursday, no fewer than 30 players reported in for training.
Craig Easton and Jim Paterson, recovering from illness and injury respectively, were among the top team members who reported in, as was comeback man Jamie Fullarton.
"Jamie trained with Craig and Jim as well as the likes of Hugh Davidson and Ronnie O'Brien," said Alex Smith. "As far as Sunday's game with Kilmarnock is concerned, Jamie will be sidelined again but he's likely to feature in Monday night's under 21 fixture."
