Striker Steven Thompson and left winger Jim Paterson both trained on Wednesday, despite most of the first team squad enjoying the day off.
The pair have been bidding to shrug off their respective knocks in time for Saturday's home meeting with Dunfermline and appear to be on course to reach their targets.
"Tommo and Jim have been working hard, and the signs are good. Hopefully I can add their names to Saturday's squad," said boss Alex Smith.
