UNITED’S AVERAGE ATTENDANCES SHOW HEALTHY RISE

23rd October 2001

With Season Tickets at a record 5,200, the average attendance at SPL matches at Tannadice this season so far has shown a healthy increase in numbers attending. With the first third of the SPL campaign before the top six and bottom six split now complete, the Tangerines have an average SPL attendance of 9,411 from five matches. This compares with an average of 7,539 from six matches at Tannadice in the 2000-2001 campaign in a similar period. Commercial Manager Bill Campbell commented, “These figures represent an increase of almost 25% on the same time frame as last year. We are obviously delighted but can take nothing for granted and it is our average attendance at the end of the season that really counts.”
