JOHN BLACKLEY REVIEWS UNDER 21’S WIN

30th October 2001

Assistant Manager John Blackley was more than satisfied with the United Under-21’s win at Easter Road yesterday. “I thought the lads played very well”, said John. “Carson took his goals well. Both were quite different in that the first was a tap in and the second a wonderful 18-metre strike. I thought that we were a bit slack in the second half, particularly passing-wise.” John felt that it was an all round good team performance by the young Tangerines. “Combe and Buchan both performed to a good standard and generally it was a decent team performance.” United’s next Under-21 match is at Tannadice against Kilmarnock this coming Monday, 5th November 2001, kick-off 7.00pm
