GUIDE TO RETURN

13th July 2021

Dundee United is absolutely delighted to be able to welcome fans back at Tannadice this week.

It goes without saying that procedures will be different for the time being, so we have drawn up some key guidance points to assist those first few lucky season ticket holders who, having been selected in last week’s ballot, realised their chance to purchase a ticket for either Wednesday’s Premier League Cup tie v Elgin City or Saturday’s clash with Arbroath:-

  • Please make sure in advance that you know where your entry point* is and attend at the time shown your ticket. Have your ticket ready for scanning.
  • Be aware that your temperature will be taken before entry.
  • Please don’t bring any bag larger than an A4 piece of paper to the ground.
  • Be aware that entry may be slower than normal to complete the necessary entry procedures.
  • All persons over 12 years of age must wear a face covering when inside Tannadice unless they have a medical exemption. Everyone should keep this on throughout the match, even if coughing or sneezing.
  • Don’t attend the stadium if you have a fever, a new persistent cough or loss of, or change in, taste or smell, or if you have visited a country on the quarantined list in the last 14 days.
  • Please don’t approach the players for autographs or selfies.
  • At all times and in all parts of the ground, please observe social distancing and avoid close contact with anyone not in your household.
  • Please follow the instructions of stewards and staff as well as directional signage in the stadium – these are in place to ensure we can allow fans back to matches at Tannadice safely.
  • Make sure you are sitting in your allocated seat and remain in your seat at all times wherever possible.
  • If you do need to leave your seat, wait for a time when the gangway is clear and always follow the signs indicating which way to go.
  • If you need to use the toilets, please follow the directions of stewards – you may have to queue.
  • When moving past other spectators to and from your seat, please avoid face to face contact with others.
  • Please note that the canteens are closed for the time being.
  • Maintain good hand hygiene – use the sanitiser dispensers provided and avoid touching your face, or handles, railings etc. whenever possible.
  • Avoid hugs, high-fives and any close contact with people who are not within your household.
  • Take care when shouting, singing or celebrating.
  • If you are attending with other members of your household, please make sure they have read and understood these guidelines too.
  • If a match ball ends up on the seating deck, please pass it to the nearest steward – these must be disinfected prior to going back to the players on the pitch.
  • Please wait for the stewards to direct you out at the conclusion of the game – we need to make sure it’s safe for you to exit.

Thank you for your co-operation and your support of the team – following this guide will help the Club to get more fans back to the game as soon as we possibly can.

Remember FACTS: Face covering; Avoid large crowds in the stadium; Clean your hands regularly; Two metre social distancing; Self-isolate and book a test if you have symptoms.

*All tickets are in the Eddie Thompson Stand and turnstiles are accessed via the ramp off Tannadice Street. ETL – Lower / ETU – Upper.
