UNDER-21'S GOOD FORM CONTINUES

5th November 2001

United Under-21's continued their rich vein of form as a McConalogue (pictured left) double put the home side ahead 2-0 at the interval. Stephen Carson added a third five minutes after the break to put United 3-0 up. Carson, who hit two last Monday away to Hibs, was showing good form which may put him into Manager Alex Smith's plans for Saturday's SPL visit of Dunfermline.

Kilmarnock earned a penalty minutes after Carson's goal - however, Alan Combe saved the spot-kick to maintain the Tangerines' advantage. This was Combe's second successive penalty stop. There were no more goals and United recorded a second 3-0 win on the spin.
