LAYTON BISLAND JOINS COWDENBEATH ON LOAN

Dundee United can confirm talented youngster Layton Bisland has joined Lowland League side Cowdenbeath on loan until January.

Right-sided defender Layton, 18, has been with United since the age of eight and has a wealth of experience at Under-18s level.

He spent last season on loan at Brechin City and started in Dundee United B's recent SPFL Trust Trophy clash with Elgin City.

Dundee United Head of Player Pathway and Loans Brian Grant said: "Layton has a lot of experience at youth level with us and earned valuable competitive action at Brechin City last year.

"The move to Cowdenbeath will help with his next stage of development in his journey towards first team football."
