ALEX SMITH LOOKS FORWARD TO EXCITING MATCH

7th December 2001

United Manager Alex Smith is full of admiration for what has been achieved this season by tomorrow's opponents Livingston but is confident that if his team play to the best of their ability, then an excellent match is in prospect.
"I am looking forward to the match against high flying Livingston tomorrow. I've been on record as saying that their record has been exceptional this season with victories over Aberdeen 6-1, Kilmarnock 5-1 and 3-0 against Hibernian, all these wins taking place away from home."

"Tomorrow presents a real challenge for us. Our form this season has been inconsistent," continued Alex, "however we have still managed to be in a position whereby if we win, we could catapult ourselves back into the top six which is our main aim. It is a challenge we are all looking forward to. If our players perform to their abilities, we should have an excellent ninety minutes."

The manager confirmed that Aljofree, Miller, Hannah and Fullarton are all fit and available for selection.
