JADE WILSON JOINS DUFCW

17th July 2023

Dundee United Women have further added to their squad this week with defender Jade Wilson.

After four years with Glasgow, Wilson has opted to make the move north to Graeme Hart’s side.

The 26-year-old centre-back hopes to help United make progress following their first season in the top flight.

Upon her move, Jade said: “I’m excited to sign with such a big club with the prospect of further progressing with the team at United. The girls and staff have been very welcoming since I came in and made me feel like a part of the team.”

“I look forward to the challenge ahead as an individual to improve my game and to look to further strengthen the team to climb up the table playing SWPL football.”

The centre-back was another that Graeme Hart had targeted prior to the close season and he has high hopes for her.

“We’re delighted to have fought off competition to get Jade signed. She was a target we identified during last season as one we wanted to bring in. She’s very quick and a natural leader and is another with brilliant character which is perfect for the group and what we’re trying to achieve.”
