It is uncertain whether ex-McDiarmid Park man Danny Griffin will be involved against Saints on Saturday. After his recent knee trouble he returned to action on Wednesday night when he played nine minutes of Northern Ireland's friendly against Yugoslavia but that may not have been enough to get him straight into the first team.
"It's been a while since Danny played, so we'll have a look at him and a chat and see how he feels. He could be involved on Saturday, but we also have the option of the under-21 game against St Johnstone on Monday," added Alex. That Under-21 curtain raiser may be switched to Tannadice.
