Mark Coccozza, who signed up at Tanndice earlier this season, has had his contract extended until the end of the 2001-2002 campaign. Alex Smith commented that Coccozza had a further opportunity between now and the end of the season to convince him that he was able to secure a first team squad berth.
Mark, who turned twenty one just a few weeks ago, has previously been with Celtic and St Johnstone. He has played just once for the first team and that was against Celtic at Tannadice on December 29th in the 0-4 reverse. The following week, he was on the bench at Easter Road but never came on. He has not featured around the first team since then.
