NINE TROPHIES SCOOPED AT DUNDEE UNITED'S PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

The Third Annual Ladies Dinner took place last Friday at the Hilton Dundee. Another full house was entertained by speakers Craigie Veitch, Jenni Trent Hughes and Willie Allan. The event was one of four annual Dundee United dinners and with a new style event on the horizon, the city's social scene has certainly become busier over the years with so many Tangerine gatherings.
Such is the success of this particular event that next year's Ladies Dinner was sold out on the night with the Commercial Department now considering whether to host such events twice a year.
Commercial Manager Bill Campbell said, "We received so many applications for the 2003 Ladies Dinner that we will seriously have to consider the option of two such events every year. We will sit down and discuss whether it is possible to operate a six monthly event of this type. The event itself is tremendous fun to operate and although I find it difficult to give an objective opinion on the matter, market forces are telling us that we are providing an excellent evening's entertainment and that we should perhaps be looking to expand the event."
