Earlier today, Manager Alex Smith was looking forward to this evening's closed door Scotland select versus Dundee United encounter: "I am sure the match will be a most instructive event and give the new Scotland Manager an excellent opportunity to familiarise himself further with the young Scottish talent north as well as south of the border."
"From our own perspective, it will be a good test for our young team, and players like Easton, Miller, Paterson as well as others may well make an impression. It will also be very interesting to see how the youngsters Duff, O'Donnell, Ogunmade, Winters, McConalogue and McCracken shape up."
"And then there is another aspect to consider", the Manager continued. "United players Lauchlan (pictured) and Combe are in Vogts's selection, and I think them playing against their own team will make for fascinating viewing. Unfortunately, the match is not open to the public, but I will let you know my thoughts on the occasion on this site tomorrow."
