COCOZZA AND REILLY DEPART TANNADICE

24th April 2002

On Wednesday, United confirmed the departure of Glasgow-born defender Marc Cocozza. Marc signed for the Club on 7th November 2001 making his debut against his former Club Celtic on 29th December 2001. His only other appearance was against Aberdeen in the 1-1 draw at Tannadice in February when he came from the bench to replace Jamie Fullarton. Cocozza made numerous appearances for the Under-21s and in fact recently scored twice in the 3-2 win over St Johnstone that represented the young Tangerines final match of the 2001-2002 campaign.

The ongoing trimming of the squad has also resulted in 19-year old Bellshill-born Colin Reilly departing Tannadice. Colin played for the Under-21s having supplied the cross that was converted by Stephen McGowan in the last minute against Forfar Athletic on the 3rd of April that kept United in the Forfarshire Cup.
