UNITED TO HOST FIRST DERBY OF THE SEASON

13th June 2002

United will play host to city rivals Dundee in Round 5 of the newly published list of SPL fixtures for season 2002-2003. The Tangerines head to Firhill on the opening day with a large attendance almost a certainty for the Maryhill club.

Three of the next four matches then take place at Tannadice with Kilmarnock the visitors on the 10th August. A second successive away trip to Glasgow in Round 3 means a visit to Champions Celtic and then Alex Smith's side entertain Motherwell followed by the derby clash with Dundee.

Pre-split, United have been handed two home clashes with Dundee and two with Rangers with one scheduled visit from Celtic that will take place in November.

The Tangerines visit Almondvale on Boxing Day while Kilmarnock are the first foots to Tannadice on January 2nd.
