The first city derby of the season, at Dens Park on Tuesday week, has been postponed because United will have several players away on international duty that night.
Jason de Vos and Pat Onstad will be in Mexico City for a World Cup qualifier with Canada, Tassos Venetis with the Greek under-21s who play Switzerland, while Danny Griffin is in the Northern Ireland squad for their clash with Yugoslavia. That left United with little option other than to invoke SPL rules and have the game called off. It will now go ahead on September 20.
